YAG LASER

A treatment that can be trusted to perform retinal, cataract and glaucoma therapy in one system. It is optimal for photocoagulation, post-cataract treatments, laser trabeculoplasty and combined iridotomy.

LASER FOR GLAUCOMA

Open-angle glaucoma is often treated by laser when medications do not work. In some cases laser is the first mode of therapy when eye drops are unlikely to be used properly. The laser surgery helps in reducing the intra-ocular pressure. Laser energy is applied to the drainage tissue in the eye. This starts a chemical and biological change in the tissue that results in better drainage of fluid through the drain and out of the eye. This procedure has less scar and less pain.

RETINAL LASER

This treatment can be used to treat retinal tears by making small burns around the retinal tear with the help of lasers. The scarring seals the retina to the underlying which helps to prevent retinal detachment.

FEMTOSECOND LASER FOR REFRACTIVE SURGERY

This Is also called Bladeless Lasik uses laser for splitting the corneal layer.

FEMTOSECOND LASER FOR CATARACT

This replaces many of the steps during cataract surgery that require a blade and softens the cataract, allowing for an easier and smoother removal. The femtosecond laser cataract removal shows reduced effective phacoemulsification time; reduced complications typically seen with manual capsulotomies.

EXCIMER LASER FOR REFRACTIVE SURGERY

The Alcon Wavelight EX500 Excimer Laser applies 500 individual laser pulses per second ensuring the fastest treatment for optimal results. It treats one dioptre in less than 2 seconds.
